School of Electronics and Info-Comm Technology

Introduction

The School of Electronics and Info-Comm Technology seeks to produce industry-adaptive and employable graduates with globally competitive skills through the adoption of the Play.Learn.Build teaching and learning model.

This approach creates a ‘fun’ yet ‘professsional’ environment for students to learn via playing games or experiments and practicing, then developing the final solutions / projects / games. The creative abilities of our students are enhanced to develop solutions that are real, practical and relevant for the industries.

Key Focus

The School of Electronics and Info-Comm Technology has been organized into 3 industry clusters:

  • Digital Media Technology,
  • Electronics Technology and Systems, and
  • Mobile Communications and Computing.

Apart from in-house and industrial development projects, the School also provides opportunities for students to be a part of the large ICT communities where they join as members of the industry alliances (such as the Games Alliance, SiTF) and also as competitors in the various local and overseas competitions. This helps them network with the industries and mould them to be sought-after graduates that employers seek.
